About This Workshop
Libraries are being challenged more than ever to remain relevant in this age of of digital information and social media. Education systems and library associations throughout the world have been examining this issue in light of the need for libraries to remain relevant and valuable. This workshop will explore some of the key initiatives world wide and will ‘bring them home’ to the local context of school libraries in Australia.

Learning Outcomes
You will develop:
- An understanding of current initiatives worldwide that seek to ensure libraries stay relevant for the future
- An understanding of the key domains within the library that need to be reviewed and reinvigorated
- Strategies to make necessary changes to your library program and environment
- A plan to help you move your library towards a future focus
- A checklist of actions to be undertaken over the next 12 months to help move your library into the future.
