AITSL Through the Library Lens

The Australian Professional Standards for Teachers are the key drivers being used by schools throughout Australian to gauge teacher competence. Library professionals are required to address these criteria, however, due to their unique position in the school, may not be able to easily articulate their performance for each standard. This workshop will support library professionals  to interrogate the standards and identify ways in which they can demonstrate their achievement.

Workshop Structure
The workshop will be a combination of information dissemination, group discussion and strategic planning as it relates to individual participant contexts.
 
Learning Outcomes
You will develop:

• An understanding of the AITSL Standards
• Strategies for interrogating the standards in a library context
• Strategies for creating a digital portfolio that demonstrates achievement of the standards
• A plan to help individuals address the standards
